University of London Worldwide’s Executive Director, Dr Sky Zheng
ACCA and the University of London have launched a new BSc (Hons) Professional Accountancy programme, allowing students to simultaneously earn an academic degree and a professional qualification in accountancy. Available from December 2025, this integrated study route aligns with the ACCA Qualification and is accessible online worldwide, offering flexibility and global reach.
ACCA’s Executive Director of Content, Quality and Innovation, Alan Hatfield, said:
“Choosing between a professional and an academic qualification is a significant dilemma for many students. This new route offers a great career launchpad for those who want to do both at the same time.”
University of London Worldwide’s Executive Director, Dr Sky Zheng, added:
“This BSc programme… gives students the best of both worlds—gaining both credentials simultaneously to improve their career prospects in global accountancy.”
The degree builds on an existing ACCA–University of London partnership, which already offers a joint MSc in Professional Accountancy. The new BSc programme requires students to complete seven ACCA papers before undertaking two modules and a final project with the university. The degree can be completed in as little as 12 months, with up to three years allowed for flexibility.
