According to Jobstreet by SEEK’s Decoding Global Talent 2024 report, Malaysia ranks 21st globally for work destinations, with Kuala Lumpur at 26th among top cities. KL ranks fifth in Asia, highlighting quality job opportunities, financial benefits, and improved quality of life as key factors.
“Cultural inclusiveness and family friendliness play a significant role,” noted the report, jointly produced by Boston Consulting Group, The Network, and The Stepstone Group. Despite 66% of talent willing to work for foreign employers, 35% prefer staying in Malaysia due to family concerns and relocation costs.
Managing Director Vic Sithasanan emphasizes the need for strategic workforce planning to retain top talent, ensuring Malaysia’s competitiveness globally.
