Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), part of the MMC Group, is poised to drive Malaysia’s logistics and ports sector development with a substantial investment of nearly RM26 billion over the next five years. This investment includes the development of a Green Fuel Terminal, aligning with Malaysia’s energy transition goals. A significant portion will also be allocated to the Phase 3A terminal and the upgrade of existing facilities, emphasizing automation, digitization, and human resource empowerment.
The Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, expresses confidence in MMC Group and PTP’s ability to positively impact Malaysia’s economy, in line with the government’s Ekonomi Madani philosophy. Despite global challenges, PTP remains focused on expanding capacity and improving efficiency, backed by its strategic location and impressive global rankings.
YBhg Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh highlights PTP’s world-class facilities and its leadership in sustainability, digitization, women’s empowerment, and vocational training. The Prime Minister’s participation in a gathering with PTP and MMC Group employees underscores government support for these impactful developments. Notable attendees include YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, and key officials from the Federal and Johor State Governments, Albukhary Foundation, and PTP/Group Managing Director of MMC, YBhg Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh.
