RICOH Malaysia has unveiled a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and integrated technology solutions aimed at helping businesses move beyond experimentation and adopt practical applications that deliver measurable operational value.

The solutions were showcased during the “RICOH Empowering AI – Smarter Work, Real Impact” event held at M World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The event highlighted how organisations across logistics, manufacturing, inspection, and workplace operations are increasingly seeking technologies that can be seamlessly integrated into daily workflows to improve efficiency and responsiveness.

The initiative aligns with Malaysia’s broader industrial transformation agenda under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030), which aims to establish 3,000 smart factories through the adoption of automation, AI, and advanced digital technologies.

The event was officiated by RICOH Chief Digital Officer for the APAC Region Satoshi Tsugane, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) President Jacob Lee Chor Kok, and RICOH Malaysia Managing Director Alice Lee. Their participation reflected growing collaboration between technology providers, industry leaders, and policymakers in accelerating Malaysia’s industrial modernization efforts.

According to Tsugane, organisations are increasingly prioritising intelligent solutions that can connect information, workflows, and people while generating meaningful business outcomes. He noted that businesses are looking for technologies capable of supporting long-term transformation and operational improvements.

Meanwhile, Jacob Lee highlighted that manufacturers face mounting pressure to enhance productivity and competitiveness in an increasingly complex business environment. He stressed that the challenge is no longer technology adoption alone but implementing solutions that deliver tangible performance gains.

The showcase featured AI-powered inspection systems for defect detection and quality monitoring, workflow intelligence solutions that enhance coordination and information accessibility, and connected automation technologies designed to create more adaptive and responsive operational environments.
