MouthPad, The New Gadget that Can Control Electronics with the Tongue
Corten Singer and Tomás Vega, co-founders of Augmental in San Francisco, are revolutionizing technology with the MouthPad, a tongue-operated device enhancing creativity, especially for people with disabilities.
Unlike previous models, it’s user-friendly, connects via Bluetooth, and seamlessly integrates with speech technologies, enabling multitasking. This innovation, demonstrated at CES, signifies a step towards inclusivity, showcasing the potential for diverse digital access in our society.
This is the first public demonstration of Augmental’s retainer-like MouthPad accessibility gadget. As said above, it can be used to control devices that support a Bluetooth mouse, including phones, tablets, computers, and even sex toys, without significantly impairing speech.
Engadget said it’s “one of the most elegant and sophisticated” tongue-operated controllers to date after seeing a live demo at CES.
