Najib Razak’s House Arrest Bid: A Setback for Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption Battle
The Federal Court will decide on August 13 whether Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar can appeal against the leave granted to Najib Razak to pursue a judicial review enforcing a supposed royal decree for house arrest. Najib seeks to validate an alleged Jan 29, 2024, addendum order from then-King Al-Sultan Abdullah allowing him to serve his sentence at home.
