LG and Cybersecurity
LG Electronics has secured Level 3 Cybersecurity Management Systems (CSMS) certification from TÜV Rheinland, marking the highest recognition for compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155 standards. This certification, mandatory in 56 markets, highlights LG’s ability to address cyber threats in automotive technologies. Achieved through rigorous testing, this milestone demonstrates LG’s commitment to developing secure, software-defined vehicles.
The company also implements the Automotive SPICE framework to enhance software development processes and has strengthened its cybersecurity capabilities with initiatives like acquiring Israeli firm Cybellum. LG aims to deliver safer, more reliable mobility solutions for automakers and users.
