The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is conducting a feasibility study to assess Sabah and Pahang as potential rocket launch sites. Minister Chang Lih Kang said the study will take time as it involves multiple aspects. He hopes construction of the launch facility can begin as early as 2026 to meet the rising global demand for satellite launches, needed not only for communications but also for technologies like cars, smartwatches, and smartphones.
