Singapore Islamic Finance Forum 2025 to Tackle Ethical AI, Waqf Governance, and Integrity in Finance
SINGAPORE, Nov 10 — The Singapore Islamic Finance Forum (SIFF) 2025 will spotlight the intersection of ethics, governance, and innovation in Islamic finance, uniting scholars and industry leaders for critical discussions on integrity and intellectual excellence.
Set for November 13, the event’s Industry Roundtable will explore ethical guardrails for Muslim financial professionals, focusing on responsible product promotion and community protection. Key contributors include Encik Ahmad Khalis, a legal consultant from Central Chambers; Ustaz Kamal Mokhtar, Chairman of the IFSG Shariah Committee; and Encik Shamsul Hadi of MUIS Wakaf Masyarakat Singapura.
The Scholars’ Dialogue will showcase frontier research from Prof. Dr. Belal Ehsan Baaquie, who will demonstrate how Large Language Models (LLMs) can enable Shariah-compliant AI systems. Dr. Zul Hakim Jumat will highlight methods to integrate Shariah and ESG screening, while Dr. Eskandar Shah will advocate for a transformative approach to Islamic finance education focused on higher purpose and societal value.
The evening Public Forum will feature an in-depth dialogue between Tan Sri Andrew Sheng, former central banker, and Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, former Khazanah Nasional head, on sustainable wealth, ethical governance, and the future of Islamic finance.
