Snowflake and Mistral AI announce a global partnership to bring Mistral AI’s powerful language models directly to Snowflake customers in the Data Cloud.
This includes Mistral Large, with unique reasoning capacities and proficiency in multiple languages, and Mixtral 8x7B, which exceeds OpenAI’s GPT3.5 in speed and quality.
Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake’s fully managed LLM and vector search service, will host Mistral AI’s models, allowing organizations to accelerate analytics and build AI apps securely with their enterprise data.
Both companies aim to democratize AI by providing efficient, trustworthy models that advance organizations’ use of generative AI within the security and privacy boundaries of the Data Cloud.
