Solarvest wins RM320mil EPCC deal for 99.99MWac floating solar farm in Perak

Solarvest Holdings Bhd has secured a RM320 million EPCC contract to develop a 99.99MWac floating solar farm in Kampar, Perak, under the Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) programme. The project was awarded by Wawasan Demi Sdn Bhd, a 63% subsidiary of AIZO Group Bhd, and is scheduled to begin commercial operations on 30 October 2027. Once operational, the plant is expected to generate 205,709MWh of clean energy annually and offset 159,219 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Floating solar farm

Solarvest executive director Leon Liew said the award reflects confidence in the company’s technical strength in floating solar solutions. The deal lifts Solarvest’s order book to RM1.6 billion following its 2QFY2026 results.

AIZO Group executive chairman Dato’ Abang Abdillah Izzarim said the collaboration supports the group’s renewable energy ambitions, marking its second major LSS venture and strengthening its expansion plans, including upcoming initiatives in Sarawak.
