SSM Deputy CEO Faces New RM13,000 Graft Charges

SHAH ALAM — The Deputy CEO (Registration and Business Services) of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Khuzairi Yahaya, 55, was charged again in the Sessions Court on Friday (March 13) for allegedly receiving RM13,000 in cash without consideration from a tech entrepreneur between 2017 and 2018.

He pleaded not guilty before Judge Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmud. The charges involve three separate payments from Big Dataworks Sdn Bhd CEO Sheriza Zakaria, allegedly made at locations in Kota Damansara and Mutiara Damansara.

Khuzairi was charged under Section 165 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum two-year jail term, a fine, or both.

On Thursday, he faced a separate RM50,000 graft charge in Kuala Lumpur involving the son of former Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin. The prosecution requested both cases be tried together.

The court approved the transfer and set April 20 for mention. Khuzairi was represented by Azamuddin Abd Aziz.
