Wee wants Madani to investigate sale of MAHB shares by the EPF

MCA President, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, has called on the government to investigate the sale of Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB) shares by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in 2023. The sale reduced EPF’s stake to just five percent. Dr Wee expressed concerns over the loss of public funds, questioning EPF’s decision to sell shares at a low price of RM6.74 per unit and later repurchase them at RM11 per unit, resulting in losses of up to RM696 million. He urged authorities to take firm action on this matter, which directly impacts the interests of the rakyat.
