ZTE, MMU Partner to Boost Malaysia’s ICT Talent in 5G, AI, and Digital Transformation

Kuala Lumpur, 21 August 2025 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today officiated the launch of Multimedia University’s (MMU) Faculty of Artificial Intelligence & Engineering (FAIE), where ZTE Corporation and MMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen Malaysia’s ICT talent pipeline. Under the partnership, MMU will serve as an authorized training and examination center for ZTE’s globally recognized certifications in 5G, AI, and digital transformation. The initiative aims to equip students and professionals with industry-relevant skills, enhancing their employability and global competitiveness. Attended by key ministers, the event marked another milestone in ZTE–MMU’s collaboration, building on previous joint initiatives such as the NexGen Communication Hub and 5G Hackathon to accelerate Malaysia’s digital economy.
