More than 90 Malaysian companies make Fortune Southeast Asia 500 List

Malaysia secured the third spot in the 2025 Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list with 92 companies, following Indonesia and Thailand. These companies collectively generated US$201.6 billion in revenue for their latest fiscal years ending on or before December 31, 2024. The list underscores Southeast Asia’s growing role in global supply chains, driven by shifts from China and growth in industries like mining, electric vehicles, and AI. Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) is the only Malaysian company in the top 20 by revenue and ranks among the region’s most profitable. The top 10 Malaysian companies contributed over 44% of the total revenue for Malaysian firms on the list.
