Syed Feizal, CEO of sugar producer MSM resigns, Hasni Ahmad is acting CEO

MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd announced that group CEO Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad, 60, will resign effective tomorrow to pursue personal interests. There were no disputes with the board, and no shareholder issues arise from his resignation. Syed Feizal led MSM since February 2021. Group chief operating officer Hasni Ahmad, 57, a chemical engineering graduate from Clarkson University, will assume the role of acting group CEO starting tomorrow. Hasni, who joined MSM as COO in 2021, previously held senior operational roles at FGV Holdings Bhd. The announcement was made in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has appointed Hasni Ahmad, 57, as acting group CEO effective July 3, 2025, replacing the outgoing CEO. Hasni, currently the group chief operating officer, will hold the position until further notice. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree with distinction from Clarkson University, New York, and has extensive experience in operational roles, including prior senior positions at FGV Holdings Bhd.
