Southeast Asia CIOs Embrace Low-Code and AI to Bridge Talent Gaps, Accelerate Digital Growth
KUALA LUMPUR – A new report by Kissflow reveals that Southeast Asia’s CIOs are rapidly adopting low-code and AI technologies to drive digital transformation amid growing talent shortages. The CIO Low-Code Strategy Pulse Report 2025 highlights that 86% of global CIOs now use low-code tools to speed delivery and reduce reliance on traditional developers.
As ASEAN’s digital economy is forecasted to soar from US$300 billion to US$1 trillion by 2030, AI adoption is expected to add up to 18% to regional GDP. Banking, government, and logistics sectors are leading adoption, while business users in operations, finance, and HR increasingly create apps via no-code platforms. Kissflow’s Rakesh Nandakumar said low-code and AI empower CIOs to scale innovation without waiting for scarce technical talent. The report underscores that AI is becoming a decisive factor in platform selection, transforming both app development and enterprise strategy across Southeast Asia’s fast-evolving digital landscape.
