E-Invoicing Relief and LPG Exemption a Lifeline And Crisis Averted: Samenta -
The Small and Medium Enterprises Association (Samenta) welcomed the government’s move to exempt businesses with annual sales below RM500,000 from the e-Invoicing system, and to postpone implementation for those earning below RM5 million to January 1. Samenta President Datuk William Ng said these decisions prevent small traders and hawkers from facing undue burdens that could drive them to shut down or operate informally. Ng also praised the temporary exemption from enforcement on subsidised LPG usage for small food operators, saying it protects livelihoods and prevents a potential micro-business crisis. He lauded the government’s understanding and proactive support.
