Royalton and Kinara Energy have formalized a Sabah partnership to expand corrosion protection services, strengthen local expertise, and support industrial development across critical sectors.
Royalton Coating Sdn. Bhd. has entered into a partnership with Kinara Energy Sdn. Bhd. to enhance corrosion protection capabilities and support industrial development throughout Sabah.
The agreement appoints Kinara Energy as Royalton’s official partner for Sabah and the broader Borneo region. The company will lead market expansion efforts, coordinate local logistics, engage with regulatory authorities, and help meet Sabah’s local content requirements for major industrial projects.
The collaboration was formalized in the presence of YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Sabah’s Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport, and Deputy Chief Minister III, who highlighted the partnership’s contribution to local manufacturing, workforce development, and supply chain growth.
According to Royalton, the initiative is designed to improve access to certified protective coating technologies for industries that operate in demanding environments, including oil and gas, marine, and infrastructure sectors. These industries rely on corrosion protection systems to safeguard critical assets such as offshore facilities, pipelines, vessels, and industrial structures.
In addition to supplying coating solutions, the partners plan to develop local talent through training and certification programs for Sabahan technicians. The long-term vision includes building stronger technical capabilities within the state while creating opportunities for knowledge transfer, skilled employment, and future industrial expansion in Sabah.
