Hartalega Faces RM101mil Additional Tax Bill from IRB

KUALA LUMPUR: Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd, a unit of Hartalega Holdings Bhd, has received additional tax assessments totalling RM101.36 million from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) for 2017 to 2022. The assessments include RM36.35 million for 2018 and RM32.89 million for 2020, among others. In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the glovemaker said it is currently seeking legal advice and may consider appealing the assessments. The company emphasised it is evaluating all available legal options to address the matter.
