ISW 2026 Soft Launch Signals Shift Toward Performance-Driven Green Buildings

KUALA LUMPUR: The soft launch of International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 underscores a growing shift in the sustainability landscape, with buildings increasingly viewed as active infrastructure driving low-carbon development.

Officiated by Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Dato’ Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, the event highlighted the role of the built environment in reducing energy demand and enhancing resilience.

Co-organised by GreenRE Sdn Bhd and Qube Integrated Malaysia, ISW 2026 integrates policy, certification standards and practical solutions within a single platform, emphasising measurable outcomes.

A key milestone announced was GreenRE surpassing 500 million square feet of certified gross floor area, reflecting rising adoption of verified green building benchmarks nationwide.

Scheduled for 10–11 September 2026 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, the event is expected to feature over 20 speakers, 100 exhibitors and 1,000 delegates, attracting about 5,000 regional visitors.
