Kaspersky, cybersecurity, virus.
As Malaysia scales up investments in smart manufacturing and data-centre infrastructure, the security of connected operational systems is becoming a critical concern.
According to Kaspersky ICS CERT, malicious objects were blocked on 20.5% of industrial control system (ICS) computers globally in the second half of 2025, highlighting persistent risks that can disrupt manufacturing, logistics, and energy operations.
To address these evolving challenges, Kaspersky has introduced major upgrades to its Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) platform. The enhanced version improves Extended Detection and Response (XDR) capabilities, adds Linux node support, and offers deeper visibility into programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial network activity. These updates enable faster threat investigation, improved configuration control, and more resilient OT operations.
