The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) aims to secure RM300 million in export opportunities through its involvement in GITEX Global and Expand North Star (ENS) 2024, two major technology events in Dubai. GITEX Global, known as the world’s largest tech exhibition, will run from October 14-18, while ENS, a prominent platform for startups and investors, will be held from October 13-16.
MDEC’s delegation will feature 15 leading Malaysian tech companies, including OmniNexus, Codon Genomics, ProximaX Malaysia, Wilstech, Vero Eco, Moovby, MDT Innovations, Forest Interactive, REDtone, Xanderia, TrackerHero, Kasatria Technologies, Paywatch, GoFluence, and Numa Solution. Their participation emphasizes Malaysia’s advanced digital infrastructure, innovation-driven capabilities, and aspirations to strengthen its market presence across the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) regions.
The agency intends to use the event to promote Malaysia’s vibrant tech sector, positioning the country as an attractive hub for digital transformation, global tech investments, and collaborations. With a solid industry ecosystem, skilled workforce, and innovation-oriented economy, The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation’s aims to foster talent development and encourage partnerships to advance the digital economy.
