MDEC Empowers Startups with VC Readiness Program for Investment Success
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has successfully concluded its Founders Grindstone: VC Readiness Programme (VCRP) in collaboration with Proficeo Scaleup Malaysia. The 12-week program aimed to enhance tech entrepreneurs’ skills and knowledge in the complex fundraising process and bridge gaps in venture capital (VC) investment.
Out of 20 startups, 10 were chosen to refine their strategies and prepare for early-stage venture investments. The program provided one-on-one sessions with experts, focusing on investment readiness.
A final demo day is scheduled for October 16, 2023. This initiative aligns with MDEC’s commitment to nurturing Malaysia’s tech startup ecosystem and fostering innovation and investment readiness.
Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of MDEC said, “In a significant stride towards fostering innovation, investment readiness and sustainable growth within Malaysia’s startup ecosystem, the Founders Grindstone: VC Readiness Programme demonstrates MDEC’s Digital Economy commitment to nurturing the tech startup ecosystem in Malaysia.
“With the Malaysia Digital (MD) national strategic initiative and its PEMANGKIN programmes, we aim to generate significant economic spill-over and foster exceptional growth, reshaping the way we work and live in Malaysia.”
