Maxim Publishes First Safety and Driver Legalisation Report

Maxim Malaysia releases first safety and driver legalisation report, highlighting transparency, strong client satisfaction, and RM2m investment in driver support.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 – Maxim Malaysia has released its safety, customer support, and driver legalisation data for the first half of 2026, marking the company’s first public disclosure of such figures. The report highlights that safety-related matters accounted for less than 1% of all inquiries through official support channels, reflecting strong client satisfaction. More than 90% of inquiries were resolved, with over 70% processed within 24 hours.

Maxim emphasised that safety requests are prioritised through accelerated response processes, supported by in-app features such as an enhanced SOS function that allows passengers to alert emergency contacts and share trip details. Drivers submitted 61.5% of inquiries, while passengers accounted for 38.5%, with most requests concerning payments, fares, refunds, and trip issues.

Driver Legalisation

Director Mohd Hazwan Musley said: “Transparency in the e-hailing sector should extend beyond business performance. Passengers, drivers and regulators need a clear understanding of how service and safety concerns are handled.”

The report also detailed Maxim’s driver legalisation programme, which provides compensation for Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licence expenses and assists with Electronic Vehicle Permit (EVP) documentation. The company invested RM2,015,090 in driver support during the period, with legalisation activity rising 22.5% in Q2.
