Razer and World Join Forces to Ban Bots and Boost Fair Play in AI-Driven Gaming
Razer, a leading gaming lifestyle brand, has partnered with World, an innovative protocol co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania, to launch “Razer ID verified by World ID,” a secure single sign-on (SSO) system aimed at combating third-party bots in online gaming.
Announced on March 19, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, this collaboration integrates World’s privacy-focused, blockchain-based proof-of-human technology with Razer’s ecosystem to ensure real human players are behind every account.
The initiative enhances trust, security, and fair play by enabling “human-only” gameplay modes and offering developers tools to implement advanced anti-bot measures and streamline authentication.
The system will debut in the game Tokyo Beast, set in a futuristic 2124 Tokyo, where it will protect players from bots, scams, and misinformation while supporting NFT collection and in-game purchases via Razer Gold. This partnership addresses the growing challenge of AI-driven bots, aiming to keep gaming immersive and authentic for millions worldwide.
