JOHOR BARU — Little India is expected to emerge as a key tourism hotspot once the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link between Johor Baru and Singapore begins operations on Jan 1, 2027.
Mentri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the RTS project and Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) will transform Johor Baru’s landscape and economy.
The state plans to beautify areas within three kilometres of the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar CIQ and RTS station, while prioritising local Indian traders for next year’s Deepavali bazaar to strengthen community participation.
