Integration of AI contributes to Microsoft’s Stellar Q2 Performance

Microsoft’s recent fiscal second quarter performance continues to impress, showcasing a GAAP EPS of $2.93 on revenue of $62.02B, beating Wall Street expectations.

With a corporate culture of excellence under Satya Nadella’s leadership, the company demonstrated consistent growth, marked by a 33.2% increase in earnings and a 17.7% rise in revenue.

Microsoft and AI

The Intelligent Cloud segment, fueled by Azure’s cloud services and AI integration, played a pivotal role, achieving a 30% sales growth and a significant uptick in AI customers.

This strong and broad performance has solidified Microsoft as a prominent long-term investment for many.

The big news here was all about Azure’s cloud services business and the integration of AI. Azure showed sales growth of 30%, easily beating estimates, while Azure’s AI customers grew to 53K (+194% just since last quarter).

Microsoft reports that more than 1/3 of these customers are new to Azure, showing that the attraction of artificial intelligence is driving sales.

Microsoft now has 53,000 Azure AI customers, and one-third of them are new to Azure in the past year, CEO Satya Nadella says.
