KUCHING: The Education Ministry should consider introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into the school syllabus to equip students with early digital exposure, said Sarawak Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Datuk Seri Roland Sagah. He said AI knowledge is crucial for preparing the future workforce to seize opportunities in emerging sectors such as green technology and renewable energy under Sarawak’s post-Covid development strategy (PCDS). Sagah also stressed the importance of embedding ethics into AI learning to prevent misuse. He added that AI-driven workforce strategies will support Sarawak’s 2030 goals of creating 195,000 jobs and raising household income levels.
