KL Wellness City: Healthcare with IoT Integration 2024
KL Wellness City (KLWC), launched in June 2023, is rapidly reshaping integrated healthcare and wellness in Kuala Lumpur. Emphasizing high-speed broadband connectivity and advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technology, KLWC, with its flagship KL International Hospital (KLIH) and The Nobel Healthcare Park, targets medical travelers.
Managed by Dato’ Dr Colin Lee, KLWC aligns with the Ministry of Health’s vision, aiming to be Southeast Asia’s top medical tourism hub.
KL Wellness City aims to contribute to Malaysia’s projected healthcare tourism revenue of RM1.7 billion, set to grow significantly. Leveraging state-of-the-art facilities and a patient-centric approach, KLWC aspires to be a major global player in health and wellness tourism. The city, designed to be IoT-ready, focuses on digital health principles to enhance healthcare workflows and patient experiences.
Construction progress for KLIH and The Nobel Healthcare Park is on track, reaching 100% completion for earthwork, piling, and substructure works, with KLIH’s superstructure works scheduled for Q2 2024.
KL Wellness City launches a month-long Chinese New Year celebration, featuring vibrant festivities, cultural performances, and workshops. The diverse array of events, including Fengshui Talks, CNY Fitness sessions, and cooking demos, aims to provide an unforgettable experience. The festivities run from January 16th to February 29th, 2024, at KL Wellness City Gallery in Bukit Jalil, with free entrance for the community.
“We are excited to welcome everyone to join us in celebrating the Chinese New Year at KL Wellness City, this event is a testament to our commitment to cultural diversity and community engagement. It’s an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to come together and experience the richness of this auspicious festival”, says Dato’ Dr Colin Lee, Managing Director of KL Wellness City.
