Lamborghini Revuelto is the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV in Malaysia

The Lamborghini Revuelto, unveiled in Malaysia, marks a significant milestone for Automobili Lamborghini as it celebrates its 60th anniversary. This super sports car is a V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High-Performance Electrified Vehicle) that combines the power of a V12 engine with cutting-edge hybrid technology, delivering an unparalleled driving experience.

The New Lamborghini

The Revuelto boasts an impressive power output of 1015 CV, generated by a new combustion engine and three electric motors. It also features a double-clutch gearbox, a first for a 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The combination of these power sources and a lithium-ion battery pack allows for a fully-electric drive mode.

Carbon fiber plays a central role in the car’s structure, contributing to its lightweight design and remarkable weight-to-power ratio of 1.75 kg/CV. This results in astounding performance figures, including a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of over 350 km/h. The Revuelto also introduces electric torque vectoring and four-wheel drive, enhancing both track and daily driving capabilities.

Despite its race-inspired character, the Revuelto offers practicality

In terms of design, the Revuelto maintains Lamborghini’s DNA while ushering in a new stylistic language. It pays homage to past V12 legends like the Countach, Diablo, and Murciélago while embracing a futuristic aesthetic inspired by aerospace elements. The car features a distinctive shark-nose front, Y-shaped daytime running lights, and sculpted surfaces that enhance aerodynamics.

The interior of the Revuelto is equally futuristic, with a driver-oriented cockpit that balances digital and physical elements. It incorporates multiple displays, including an 8.4″ vertical touchscreen, and introduces a shared driving experience with displays for both the pilot and co-pilot. The steering wheel, inspired by racing, houses controls for driving modes and the car’s lifting system.

Despite its race-inspired character, the Revuelto offers practicality with a roomy cabin and storage compartments. The roof design provides more headroom, and there’s additional space behind the seats for luggage. Personalization options are extensive, allowing customers to create an individualized super sports car with a wide range of colors and materials.

A monofuselage chassis

Aerodynamics played a crucial role in the Revuelto’s development, focusing on efficiency, synergy between components, integration, and design. Notably, an active rear wing adapts to different driving modes, and various elements optimize airflow and cooling throughout the car.

The chassis of the Revuelto is based on a “monofuselage” design, combining carbon fiber monocoque and Forged Composites technology for improved stiffness and weight reduction. The front structure is also made of carbon fiber, enhancing energy absorption and reducing weight.

The Lamborghini Revuelto is a groundbreaking super sports car that blends power, technology, and design innovation. It represents a significant step forward for Lamborghini in the realm of electrified high-performance vehicles, pushing boundaries in both performance and sustainability while maintaining the brand’s legacy of style and luxury.
