Businessman Accuses PM’s Aide of Receiving RM629,000 in Goods and Renovations
Police have recorded statements from businessman Albert Tei’s wife, mother-in-law, and domestic helper regarding allegations that an MACC officer pointed a firearm at Tei and his wife during a raid on their Puchong home on November 28. Lawyer Mahajoth Singh called the Selangor police chief’s December 15 statement claiming “no evidence” premature, as key eyewitnesses were only questioned on December 16.
During questioning, police showed still images from MACC officers’ body-worn cameras, confirming footage exists. Mahajoth demanded the return of seized equipment and recordings once investigations conclude. Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar earlier said initial probes, including statements from MACC officers and analysis of CCTV and phone recordings, found no substantiating evidence. The investigation continues.
