Seven Ministers and Eight Deputies Sworn In After Madani Cabinet Reshuffle

Kuala Lumpur, Dec 17 – Seven ministers and eight deputy ministers were officially sworn in before His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at Istana Negara today, formalising Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s recent Cabinet reshuffle.

The ceremony, attended by Anwar, commenced at 10am in the Small Throne Room with oaths of office, allegiance, and secrecy, followed by signing appointment documents witnessed by Chief Justice Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh.

New ministers

Promoted ministers include Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup (Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability), Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad (Plantation and Commodities), Datuk Seri R. Ramanan (Human Resources), Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir (Economy), and Datuk Zulkifli Hasan (Religious Affairs). New appointees are Datuk Mustapha Sakmud (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) and Mohammed Taufiq Johari (Youth and Sports).

New deputies include Sim Tze Tzin, Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah, R. Yuneswaran, Mordi Bimol, Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, Chiew Choon Man, Datuk Lo Su Fui, and Marhamah Rosli.

The event ended with a group photo at 10.45am.
