TERAJU (Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera) has allocated a RM100 million fund across Malaysia’s top P2P financing platforms, with microLEAP receiving the largest portion.
This funding is part of the Islamic-Working Capital Project Financing Programme (i-WCPF), which is designed to support Bumiputera entrepreneurs. microLEAP’s Founder and CEO, Tunku Danny Nasaifuddin Mudzaffar, highlighted that this allocation allows the company to make a tangible impact on the Bumiputera economy, particularly through Islamic financing solutions like pre- and post-invoice financing under the Shariah principle of Commodity Murabahah via Tawarruq.
Targeted sectors include Renewable Energy, Technology & Digital, Agriculture, and Rare Earth Industries, providing businesses access to financing with competitive profit rates. microLEAP’s national presence, with offices across Malaysia, ensures that entrepreneurs, especially in underserved regions, have access to these services through a fully digital process.
TERAJU CEO Junady Nawawi emphasized that this initiative aligns with Malaysia’s Shared Prosperity Vision 2021-2030, aiming to foster growth and inclusivity. Financing of up to RM1,000,000 per transaction, with 12-month terms, will be available to Bumiputera enterprises under the i-WCPF programme, laying a foundation for sustainable economic growth in the Bumiputera community.
