Party president Shafie Apdal
Warisan has vowed to reinstate the Sabah health and education ministries if it wins the Nov 29 state polls. Party president Shafie Apdal said restoring the health ministry would allow Sabah to build more hospitals and clinics, train specialists and nurses, and reduce reliance on federal resources.
He said state funds could support salaries for medical professionals and help curb brain drain. Shafie also stressed that the Malaysia Agreement 1963 grants Sabah autonomy over education, enabling a state ministry to craft syllabi that meet local needs. Warisan also pledged hydro-electric dams in Kinabatangan and Lahad Datu, along with port and railway upgrades. It aims to develop Papar into a university hub to boost talent development and economic growth.
