Customs Exceeds 2025 Revenue Target by RM6 Billion
Petaling Jaya: The Royal Malaysian Customs Department has surpassed its 2025 revenue target, collecting RM73.27 billion as of December 16 – slightly above the Finance Ministry’s revised projection of RM73.26 billion.
Director-General Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin announced the achievement exceeds the original target of RM67.25 billion by RM6.02 billion, or 108.95%.
She credited robust enforcement, with 6,597 cases handled through 122 operations up to November, yielding seizures worth RM1.8 billion including taxes – a 17.52% increase from 2024.
Top seized items include drugs (RM478.5 million), vehicles, cigarettes, alcohol, and firecrackers.
Anis Rizana emphasised a shift towards high-impact outcomes and vowed zero tolerance for smuggling threatening national security and economy.
