Heriot-Watt University Malaysia has launched its new MEng Robotic and Mechatronic Engineering programme at its Putrajaya campus. The launch coincided with the University’s WattTech: Engineer in You initiative and the 4th Teachers’ Conference 2025.
These initiatives aim to develop future-ready, purpose-driven leaders equipped with technical expertise, strong values, and global competitiveness.
The new programme supports Malaysia’s goal of becoming a regional leader in robotics, AI, and advanced technologies. It aligns with national priorities such as the 4IR Policy, Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint, and Putrajaya Green City 2025, promoting smart, sustainable growth through innovation. Additionally, it aims to produce highly skilled engineers who will drive innovation, productivity, and economic progress. With advanced training in automation and AI, graduates will be well-positioned to support Malaysia’s digital and green economy.
