WASHINGTON, Aug 11 — Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan will visit the White House on Monday after US President Donald Trump last week urged his removal over alleged conflicts tied to Chinese investments, the Wall Street Journal reported. Tan is expected to discuss his background and propose ways Intel could collaborate with the US government, stressing the role of domestic chip manufacturing in national security. Trump’s call for Tan’s ouster, citing his US$200 million investments in Chinese firms and past links to a Chinese military university, has stirred investor debate. Intel and the White House have not commented.
