Mujahid Urges Calm, Fairness in Addressing Jalur Gemilang Upside-Down Incident

SHAH ALAM — The controversy over the upside-down display of the Jalur Gemilang should be handled with mutual advice rather than hatred or hostility, says Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa. He stressed that selective criticism must be avoided and public awareness campaigns strengthened to ensure Malaysians understand proper flag etiquette. Mujahid warned that incorrect flag display, intentional or otherwise, can harm patriotism and national harmony. He urged authorities to investigate the incident thoroughly, take firm legal action, and prevent recurrence, calling the national flag a symbol of sovereignty, dignity, and unity that must be respected.
